Up To $1,500 Trade-In!
Are you aware of the R22 refrigerant phase-out?
R22 is a refrigerant often used in home air conditioning units. However, because it was discovered that R22 depletes the ozone layer, the EPA began to phase it out in 2010.
As of January 1st, R22 will no longer be produced and only recycled supplies of R22 will be available to service existing AC units.
How do you know if your AC unit has R22 & if the phase-out affects you?
Simply take a look at the label on your AC unit outside. Most AC units that are at least 10 years old still use R22, so if you have one and you’re having to continually charge your unit, it is releasing dangerous refrigerants into the atmosphere and harming the ozone.
